Full Form of NEET
NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. The Government, in the spirit of one-country one-exam, introduced NEET in order to replace several different medical examinations across the country (including AIPMT- All India Pre-Medical Test). NEET was first held on May 05, 2013, but it was canceled later as per the order of Supreme Court. This year, on May 6, 2018, more than 13 lakh students had appeared for NEET competing for 50,000 plus seats. This is the only examination in the country that fills All India Quota Seats as well as State Level Quota Seats. Various private colleges across the country also accept admission through NEET scores. The main exams for medical entrance are NEET, AIIIMS, AIPMT, and AIPVT.

NEET Eligibility
  • The NEET applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • A student registering for NEET must have completed 17 years of age as or on December 31, (year of admission)
  • All the applicants must have passed class 12th with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% including passing the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.
  • For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology opted together in HSC examination is 40% marks.
  • The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission through NEET is 25 years. Further, for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

Full Form of AIIMS
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Entrance Examination is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam. It is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.  Through this exam, a candidate can seek admission to MBBS programs offered in AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Guntur, and Nagpur.

AIIMS Eligibility
  • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 (year of admission).
  • Foreign National candidates – Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in their class 12th examination to be eligible for admission to MBBS course at AIIMS New Delhi
  • Th candidates registering for AIIMS must have passed with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects in HSC examinations.
  • The minimum aggregate of the marks to be secured by candidates in class 12th  is 60% for General and OBC categories. For SC/ST candidates the aggregate marks criteria reduced to 50%.

Full Form of AIPVT
AIPVT 2018 (All India Pre-Veterinary Test) was the exam held by Veterinary Council of India (VCI) providing admission to the BV.Sc. & A.H. degree program. IN 2017, AIPVT was replaced by the NEET exam. Now, the admission to the veterinary courses will be done based on NEET 2018 score.

Eligibility
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates who belong to Jammu & Kashmir state are not eligible for 15% quota seats. To claim these seats, they must upload self-declaration document.
  • Candidates must have qualified class 12th or equivalent from recognized Board or university with physics, chemistry, and biology as the main subjects.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in PCB subjects.
  • Appearing candidates can also fill the form, but they need to provide the passing certificate during the selection process later.
  • The minimum age of Candidates must be 17 years as on or before 31st December 2018.
  • The maximum age limit of the registering candidates can be 25 years (5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
